Cherokee Winds Fishing Guide is run by Captain paul who has been passionate about fishing his whole life. He is the type of person who loves to see others smile as they reel in the fish they tackled and he shares their joy. Captain Paul has fished the Florida waters for over 25 years and knows the some secret spots, so he can take you to them, and you will see fish like swimming in schools. The Homosassa Springs and Crystal River are rich in fish species and offer other attractions such as Manatee watching and the mesmerizing Three Sisters springs near Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge.
The boat is a 24 foot Carolina skiff, which was originally built in 2002, and is powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine with a maximum cruising speed of 48 knots. This boat is ideal for fishing in Ozello and the surrounding area as it skids on the shallow waters like a bullet. It is fitted with a GPS and a fishfinder for locating the perfect fishing spots; life jackets for safety, snorkeling equipment, an ice box to preserve the freshness of your catch until you return to the shore and a live bait tank.
Cherokee Winds Fishing Guide fishes the flats and backwater of Homosassa Springs and Crystal River in Florida, and targets species such as Redfish, Cobia, Sea Trout, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Broomtail and Gag Grouper, Scallops, Snook and Porbeagle Shark. Captain Paul will provide rods, reels, tackle, a fishing licence for the State of Florida, and live and artificial baits. He will clean and fillet your catch upon return to the shore so you can take it home for a lovely satisfying dinner.
