D&S Charters is owned and operated by a local fisherman, Captain Darrell Crabtree. He offers inshore light tackle sport fishing on the beautiful waters surrounding Kiawah and Seabrook Islands of South Carolina. Captain Darrell Crabtree is one of the hardest working charter captains on the East Coast. He will try his best to make your time on the water productive and fun no mater your level of experience!

His boat is a 21 foot Triton center console, which was originally built in 2013 and can accommodate up to 6 guests. It is powered by a 200 HP Yamaha Four Stroke engine with a maximum cruising speed of 45 knots. This is a steady and fast vessel which is bound to get you to the best fishing spots easily. You will locate them using an onboard fishfinder and a GPS system. The boat also has a VHF radio and a radar, as well as all the safety equipment such as life jackets, fire extinguishers, flares, a first aid kit, and a CPR trained crew.

D&S Charters will take you fishing in the salt marshes and estuaries in the Kiawah and Seabrook Islands, which are located just 20 miles from Charleston, famous for its Caribbean and African influence in cuisine including all sorts of locally sourced fish species. Targeted species will include Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Black Drum, Cobia, King Mackerel, Ladyfish, Black Seabass, Spanish Mackerel, Spadefish, Tarpon and Blacktip Shark. Captain Derrell will provide you with brand new rods, reels, and tackle - all purchased in 2016. You will also have live and artificial baits, and a Fishing License, as well as cleaning and filleting of your catch at the end of your trip. Captain will also be able to recommend a good restaurant that will prepare your catch as a local delicacy.

Come and enjoy a morning or afternoon on the beautiful waters located in the heart of South Carolinas famous low country!

I grew up fishing in the bay's and rivers sourounding Charleston, SC. I have spent my entire life fishing for fun, competition and as a job. I have fished in many exotic locations but by far my favorite place to fish is right here in the South Carolina low country. I love showing my guest what our waters around Kiawah and Seabrook islands have to offer.

Fishing with Darrell
Captain Darrell Crabtree was outstanding. He took the time to teach our grandsons 7 and 9 how to fish this coast.
