Make your fishing dreams come true with Captain John Emery and Fishing South Florida. A second generation fisherman with a lifetime of experience fishing both offshore and inshore, there is no one better qualified to take you on your next private fishing adventure.
Step aboard the ‘Family Tradition’ and begin your day soaking up the southern Floridian Sunshine and seeking out the area’s abundant fish species. This spacious 36 ft Yellowfin center console is fully equipped for both inshore and offshore fishing. Its triple 225 HP Mercury engines will take you to the fishing grounds in no time, allowing you to make the most of your time on the water fishing rather than traveling. Featuring a GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, and radar, as well as outriggers, downriggers, and a large live bait tank, this boat has everything you need and more for a sportfishing adventure. There is even a toilet in the center console so the whole group can take part in long range fishing trips without worries.
Fishing South Florida will tailor your trip to what you want to catch and can help you hook anything from a Tarpon to a Swordfish. Offering trolling, bottom fishing, kite fishing, spearfishing, and fly fishing among many other techniques, they can introduce you to the thrill of fighting a Billfish or Mahi Mahi, to the taste of a true Atlantic Grouper or Snapper, or to the arm-aching excitement of bringing in a notorious ‘Reef Donkey’ or Amberjack. Whatever your experience level, they will be able to create a memorable and enjoyable fishing experience for you. Captain John even offers freshwater fishing expeditions for the exotic Peacock Bass aboard a smaller vessel, giving you an even greater range of options.
Fishing charters include all the gear you will need for your fishing experience, including bait, lures, and fuel for the boat. Just bring your own beverages for the cool box and any snacks you would like to consume, and get ready for an unforgettable day on the water!

I have been fishing with John for over ten years and in those years we have never had a bad trip which speaks volumes as everyone that fishes knows there are bound to be bad days or else it would be called catching and not fishing. He is very knowledgeable and most importantly dedicated to you having a good time. I have been fishing my whole life and have been on many many charters and most people know when it’s time for lines to go up they go up but not with John. Many times if the days was a little slow he would go the extra mile to ensure you caught your target fish. He’s a great guy and I would strongly recommend anyone to use his services. Happy fishing!
