Fishing Mania in Malta is a seriously fun charter on a mission to catch lots of fish. They are run by a friendly crew consisting of Captains Pierre and Joe who love fishing and take great pride in their charter operation as they give every guest special attention and make their fishing dreams come true. They operate out of the picturesque marina in Mgarr, Malta and can take you fishing in the pristine waters of the coast where you are able to experience your own personal fishing adventure.
You will fish aboard their 26 foot Bayliner Trophy Walkaround boat, which was originally built in 2002 and restored in 2014. It is powered by a 230 HP Yanmar 230 engine with a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots, and has a capacity for 5 guests. The boat is eqуipped will Simrad electronics including a fishfinder, a GPS, a VHF radio and a radar, and includes all the necessary safety equipment including life jackets, flares and EPIRB. This beautiful boat also has a toilet, a shower, a bed and a multimedia system for entertainment. It also has an anchoring system and an icebox to keep your catch fresh until you return to the shore.
Fishing Mania will take you on inshore, nearshore, offshore or wreck trips where you will be able to target an array of fish species available in this part of the world. Depending on the seasonality, you will be able to catch Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, Albacore, Bluefin and Skipjack Tuna, Spearfish, Atlantic Mackerel, Broomtail and Goliath Grouper, John Dory, Dentex and Amberjack. There are more species available in the area than we can name, but one notable is the super delicious Squid which are caught on the evening trips. The crew will provide you with rods, reels, tackle, live and artificial baits, a fishing license, drinks, snacks and lunch. Please note this is a child friendly charter, and drinking in not permitted on board.
