Coastal Charters, led by Captain Danny Dorman is the epitome of a fun and satisfying fishing charter. Their boat is 36 foot Twin Vee catamaran that was originally built in 2006 and is powered by two 300 HP Suzuki engines with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots. This fast beauty is painted in the national colours and can fit up to 6 anglers. It contains a GPS, a radar and a VHF radio for connection with the USCG, as well as an excellent fishfinder which will help you locate the best fishing spots. It also contains all the safety equipment including life jackets, a life raft, CPR trained crew and EPIRB. The boat also has a toilet and a bed and is wheelchair accessible which is a huge plus.
Coastal Charters will take you offshore fishing in the rich waters of the Gulf of Mexico, where species such as Mahi Mahi, Blue and White Marlin, Tunas and Amberjacks can be found widely. You will also be targeting Wahoo, Mackerel, Cobia, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Rainbow Runner and everyone’s favourite Red Snapper, depending on the seasonality. You will have snacks and water available onboard, as well as help from the first mate. Your trip will include rods, reels, tackle and bait in artificial and live form, and the crew will advise you on the best one to use depending on the targeted species.
