Ocean Souldiers

Suva, Fiji

Ocean Souldiers in Fiji provide a bespoke charter service with complete customization of their guests’ fishing adventure in order to provide an experience and a lasting memory on this holiday. Their aim is to make good bonds with guest so that you are not just a client, but a friend and ally, and a part of an international family of avid fishermen. Ocean Souldiers are located on an isolated island in the Fijian Lau Group, which is still very traditional and where the land is not a commodity but a gift from God and their ancestors who rest there.

This isolated island of the Lau Group is still very traditional when it comes to western influence. For the Fijians, the land is not a commodity but rather a gift from God and from their ancestors who rest there, a sacred space with which they need to interact if they are to maintain their identity and values.

The Eco-Camp will aim to be completely sustainable. Due to its completely remote nature it had to be built cleverly and run by solar power, with a fresh groundwater well that has served the villagers for centuries. Accommodation is in Fijian Bure which is a 4-star tent in Safari style and is based on full board including meals, local beer, soft drink, water, spirits, and Wi-Fi connection. There is also bar equipped with South African and Australian wines. Sim cards and a Satellite phone are available at an extra cost.

Ocean Souldiers will take you fishing in the most exclusive waters as they are uncharted and are home to tropical fish such as large Permit, Triggerfish,Giant Trevally, Bonefish, Blue Marlin, Coral Trout, Mahi Mahi, Bigeye Trevally, Blacktip and the beautiful Bluefin Trevally, Golden Trevally, and Dogtooth Tuna. You will fish in the natural reefs, atolls, the flats and up to 40 nautical miles off the costs. You will be provided all fishing gear, license, cleaning and filleting, lunch, snacks and drinks on your trips.

Captain Chad's professional experience as a blue-water and topwater guide spans over a decade. He was fortunate to work as Head Guide for a highly regarded exploration charter company Nomad Sportfishing and No Boundaries Oman. He is no stranger to fishing unchartered waters and hs experienced both the profits and the risks involved in navigating into the unknown of sea exploration. His experiences and passion have placed him at the forefront of catch and release fishing for the infamous Giant Trevally. For over a decade his knowledge gained and shared has been a great influence in promotion of this great sport and the catch and release movement. He considers himself lucky enough to fish with some of the greatest pioneers in top-water history and continue to fish the furthest corners of the planet.
