Go Fish Costa Rica – 28'

Explore the oceanic waters off the coast of west with Go Fish Costa Rica. Captain Cheno has a wealth of knowledge about the area that he is happy to share with his guests, as well as local expertise and familiarity with various fishing techniques typically employed in these waters.

You’ll head out on his 28’ Tico center console boat, restored in 2015. The boat is outfitted with a GPS and radio, and has a maximum capacity of four anglers. There’s a toilet on board, as well as an ice-box for the daily catch, which the crew will be happy to clean and fillet for you.

All fishing gear, including rods, reels, and lures will be ready for you on the boat. The captain will provide live bait as well. If you’re up for some fly fishing, let your captain know so he’ll provide the equipment for you.

There’s a variety of fishing opportunities provided by the productive waters of Costa Rica. Capt. Cheno runs both inshore and offshore fishing trips. Depending on the season, target species include Billfish and Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Wahoo, Tarpon, and the very popular Roosterfish.

While catch and release is allowed, guests are free to keep their catch if they want. Following the trip, there’s an option of taking your catch to one of the local restaurants, and have it cooked for your enjoyment.

Fishing licenses are covered in the package, along with drinks and snacks for the trip. Gratuities for the first mate are customary. Make sure to bring some sunscreen, grab a camera to make some lasting memories, and you’re all set.

Join Go Fish Costa Rica, and come have an unforgettable time exploring some of the bluest waters around!

I started guiding at age 19, and for 40 years have operated boats from Alaska to Panama. I love my work as it really has never been a job. I get to go fishing everyday. Please come and join me to share some of the knowledge I have acquired over the years.
