Cop-Out-Charters’ fun and friendly captain Abe Aksal has one goal - for you to have a memorable day on the water that you will tell all your friends about. Since he retired in the Summer of 2016 from public service, he has been embarking on a new adventure of owning a fishing charter. He wants to share this with you. Captain Abe is an excellent teacher with 40 years of fishing experience behind him, and is able to teach novice anglers and kids anything they want to know.
You will fish aboard his 25 foot Bluewater sportfishing center console boat, which was originally built in 2001 and has a capacity for three persons. It is powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots. The boat is equipped with a GPS, a VHF radio and a fishfinder for locating the best fishing spots. It also has a porta potty toilet, safety jackets and other safety equipment, as well as an icebox for your catch and a live bait tank. You will also have snorkeling and spearfishing equipment available if this is what you are interested in.
Cop-Out-Charters fishes inshore, nearshore, wrecks, reefs and offshore, so you are sure to find a trip to suit your need. Depending on the trip you chose, you will target species such as King Mackerel, Yellowtail and Mangrove Snapper, Sailfish, Wahoo, Blackfin and Yellowfin Tuna, Great Barracuda, Broomtail Grouper, Porbeagle Shark, Mahi Mahi and Gilt-head. The Southeast coast of Florida has a fairly constant good weather so any time of the year you go out, you will target more species at the same time.
The necessary equipment is provided by Captain Abe and includes rods, reels, tackle, artificial bait and a fishing license. What you need to bring is suntan lotion, food for the day, cooler for your catch, a hat and maybe seasickness pills. Captain Abe will clean and fillet your catch so make sure you bring zip lock bags to take your catch home.

This is the best trip we have taken!!! Captain Abe made sure we caught fish and worked very hard for us to do so. He was so concerned about our well being. There were 3 of us on this trip and we were comfortable on his boat.

We went on a great trip with Captain Abe. While weather conditions were little bit rough this day, we still had a lot of fun and also hooked some kingfish. Captain Abe is a very nice guy and did everything to make our day. Boat is fully equipped and also has a toilett on board. I would recommend Cop Out Charters to both, experienced anglers as well as novices. We hope to come back some time and would definitly book again with Captain Abe.

Had a great trip with Captain Abe! We drifted the reefs and caught 12 different species…18 keepers with more thrown back. No luck on Mahi-mahi or Sailfish on live bait but bottom fishing kept us busy. Will definitely book again next time we are down there.
