Caribbean Fly Fishing Co.

Pescaderia At Entrance To Parq…
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Caribbean Fly Fishing Co. Charters has dedicated the last two decades to fishing the waters of Puerto Rico and the islands of Vieques and Culebra. Sailing with them is a productive and very entertaining experience in the heart of San Juan, one of the most famous historical areas in Puerto Rico.

You will be sailing aboard “Silver King”, a 17 ft flats boat, powered by a 90 HP Evinrude E-TEC engine. This is a tough vessel, ready to get up to 3 persons to the best playground in the area, which is The San Juan Bay. IT offers a great variety of fishing opportunities for the inshore and back country waters.

Captain González has a very special package for any angler, who wants to learn the fly casting technique. A one-hour lesson will be a fun experience, where you will be able to see fast progress on the whole new level! But even though fly fishing technique is their speciality, the crew is not limited to it. Light tackle and spinning are also among their fishing techniques, and they will be happy to show you some tricks.

Choose between four-hour trips to see what is biting, or a full day on the waters. Chase Blackfin Tuna and Kingfish under the watchful eye of the keeper of the bay, El Morro Fort in San Juan, or go for Tarpon in the back sanctuaries of the bay. A trip to Vieques can lead you to the “Grand Slam”: Permit, Bonefish, Tarpon. Near the coast, you can target Kingfish, Barracuda, African Pompano, and many more!

Caribbean Fly Fishing Co. does not allow alcohol onboard. Each trip will include all Shimano rods, reels, tackle, bucktail jig lures, live bait, and TFO 9wt rods with intermediate and floating lines for fly fishing. Water is also provided onboard.

With their knowledge of the waters simply unmatched, Caribbean Fly Fishing Co. will get your hands full of fish. It is a lifetime experience, that will make you come back for more!

About the Charter Operator

Caribbean Fly Fishing Co.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Member since November 2016
Capt. Franco González is the owner/operator of the Caribbean Fly Fishing Co. He studied boat building and design at The Landing School in Kennebunkport Maine, thinking that his love for fishing and boats would get him closer to fish. During the studies, driven by his passion for fishing, he practised fly-casting techniques outside on snow-covered lawns. Franco was always impatient to go back home to Puerto Rico for his summer break, where he would spend it chasing Bonefish in Vieques and Culebra, and Tarpon in San Juan. With all the knowledge and experience, he has now been successfully guiding for 18 years!
