Foreshore Fishing Tours operates in the beautiful Sydney Harbour and is run by Skipper Myer who has been fishing since he was 3 years old. He’ll teach you about the techniques you should use when fishing for a certain species, as well as about the fish so you know your day will be spent on the water having fun, learning and catching fish.
You will go fish aboard his 20’ Bermuda center console boat, which was built in 1999 and has the capacity for 5 guests. It is powered by a 75 HP Mercury engine with a maximum cruising speed of 17 knots. This sound vessel contains a fishfinder which is ideal for locating schools of fish, as well as an anchoring system so you can stay in the place where there are plenty of them.
The boat also has an icebox which is used to store the catch until you return to the shore where the captain will be happy to clean and fillet it for you, so you can take it home for dinner. The boat also contains all the safety equipment so you can feel safe.
The crew will take you fishing in the Sydney Harbour and estuaries for species such as Bluefish, Bream, Flathead, Flounder, John Dory, Morwong, Leatherjacket, Australian Salmon, Samson fish, Silver Trevally, and Kingfish. Skipper Myer will provide rods, reels, tackle, lures and live bait in the form of Skipjack Mackerel and Squid, as well as a fishing license.
Please be aware that local fishing regulations do not allow all fish species to be kept all year round. The captain will inform you of any seasonal fishing bans.
Get ready for a great time, join Foreshore Fishing Tours, and have a fishing experience of a lifetime!
