Papua Fishing specializes in sportfishing adventures on the saltwaters and freshwaters of Indonesia. They will take you to some of the best spots in this beautiful and diverse country, in terms of nature and the fish species. You can catch a trophy-sized Papuan Black Bass, a Spot Tail Bass, a Barramundi, Golden Saratoga and more species. Come catch your dream fish with this crew!
Your guide is Captain Teddy who owns the company and is a passionate fisherman. He has fished the remote waters of Papua since he was 8 years old, and has learned the best techniques to catch the many species that call these waters home. He will teach you the same techniques.
The crew will take you fishing on two 10 meter boats, powered by twin 40 HP Yamaha outboard engines. They each have GPS, fishfinders, and wireless trolling motors.
The liveaboard trips will include accommodation on a 90’ custom-built deck boat, complete with 6 rooms – 2 double rooms, 3 single rooms, 1 bunk bedroom, 3 toilets, 2 showers, a sundeck, and a kitchen on board the mothership. Satellite TV is available, powered by three 8 cylinder Caterpillar engines.
The lodging trip will include accommodation in a 3* hotel, accommodation at the campsite complete with showers, mosquito netted huts, toilet, electricity, and an icebox, and return economy airfare Kuala Lumpur–West Papua. Airline rates apply for luggage exceeding 20 kg. You will have visitor permits issued by Police and Immigration departments, and Aboriginal fishing permits.
Whether you are looking to fight a tackle busting fish like Giant Trevally, Tarpon, and Barramundi, or you’re more into catching something to eat like a Tripletail, Snapper, King Mackerel, or a Bass, this is the place to do it. The Papuan waters are known to be among the toughest freshwaters in the world, providing the Wild West experience in sportfishing.
