Waterproof Charters runs exciting offshore fishing adventures that are available to everyone! Come and feel like a true angler for a day and have some serious fun. The charter is run by Captain Tim Garrett who has over 40 years of experience in charter and commercial fishing and has been running the business for over 30 years, serving as one of the original charter boats in Ponce Inlet.
You will fish aboard the Waterproof, which is a 40’ custom-built Number 1 boat that specializes in offshore trolling and bottom fishing. The vessel is safe and fast, being powered by a 650 HP John Deere engine. It comes equipped with the latest navigational and fishing equipment on board, as well as all the safety features recommended by the USCG.
You will enjoy a large cockpit area, a spacious cabin with a restroom, a fighting chair and a flybridge perfect for sightseeing. Capt. Tim will provide you with all the fishing equipment you’ll need, including live baits. You will also have a first mate who’ll work tirelessly to provide a first-class experience so please tip him generously.
The crew will take you fishing in the offshore waters for large game fish and bottom feeders. Depending on the time of the year, you’ll target different species including Amberjack, King Mackerel, Cobia, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, and Wahoo. On the longer trips, you’ll get the option of splitting the day between trolling and bottom fishing providing you with even more variety.
A fish cleaning service is available at an additional charge once you get back to the dock, and if you don’t want to keep the fish, the crew will be happy to relieve you of it.
