Double D Charters
, NY, United States
Double D Charters specializes in fishing trips for the best seasonal species out of the iconic fishing village of Montauk, New York. Captained by a full time fisherman who gives 100% effort on every trip, this charter service will put you on anything from a Blackfish to a Thresher Shark, and they will do it professionally and with a smile.
The Double D is a 32 ft BHM Downeast boat whose hull design cuts through the water with ease, taking you comfortably offshore. She is fully equipped with electronics by leading brands such as Furuno, Simrad, and Garmin, and she features an enclosed head (marine toilet) for your comfort out at sea. On board, you will find a multimedia system to keep you entertained, as well as an ice box for your catch and drinks.
Double D Charters offer two types of trip: inshore and offshore fishing. Go on an inshore trip, and you will be fishing more protected waters close to shore for species such as the iconic Striped Bass, Fluke, Bluefish, Porgies, Blackfish, and more (depending on the season). These fish can be very good eating, and Bluefish and Stripers put up very a good fight too!
Take an offshore trip, and you will be looking at traveling between 10-25 miles offshore in search of the ocean’s top predators: Sharks and Bluefin Tuna. These trips will start off by trolling close to shore for Bluefish to use as bait and then targeting species such as Mako, Hammerhead, Thresher, and Blue Sharks, as well as Tuna if they are in the area. This is a very exciting trip with the possibility of some big game action.
Captain Daniel is very happy to answer any of your questions and can also help you out with finding somewhere to stay in the area if needed.
