Coming to the end of our fall mullet run which happens each year in September and October. Great time to livebaits for snook, Jack's and tarpon. During this time we also catch the majority of our redfish fish with shrimp on trollrite jigs. Most redfish are in the 18-27" slot. Tripletail and flounder bite is on the rise here on the Treasure Coast. A few days ago, we caught our largest TT of the year weighing in at 22 pounds. By October, we will start our assault on pompano, Spanish Mackerel and bluefish.

This time of year the snook, tarpon and Jack bite is awesome here in Stuart. Fishing with pilchards and greenies on circle hooks will keep those rods bent. Snook begin to spawn in June and stack up around the inlets and beaches. Tarpon right now are along the beaches and head inshore throughout the summer. On live trips, we head out early around 6:30 or 7am so we can purchase livebaits. 3 person maximum is ideal for livebaiting trips.

Fished Debi Decker from Monroe, N.J. and friend Diana Saunders from Lewes, Delaware the other day. Limit of pompano with bonefish, jacks, bluerunners, and sheepshead. Debi stated she has never caught a tripletail, so we gave that a quick shot. 20 minures later Debi caught her first tripletail weighing in at just over nine pounds. I was expecting the pompano bite to turn on in March and the "FISH GODS" answered ?.
