Ugly Fishing Charters is run and operated by Captain Patric Garmeson. Having spent over 25 years fishing the beautiful waters of the Mobile Bay, Alabama, Patric has grown a reputation as one of the best captains in the area.
You will be fishing aboard a 24-foot Triton boat. It comes powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine and has a maximum speed of 50 knots. The boat is rigged with all the necessary navigational electronics, as well as a wireless trolling motor, an anchoring system, a live bait tank, and an ice-box to ensure you have a quality fishing experience.
Take your pick from the variety of packages available. “The Catch and Release” is ideal for serious sportsmen who want to check out what is biting in and around the Mobile Area. “The Keeper” is the most popular package and is great for any angler, from novice to pro. If you want to go fishing around the south end of Mobile Bay, “The Nearshore” is the right choice. This trip is ideal for younger anglers and kids, since you just never know what you will catch. What is more, the packages come with two Ugly Fishing performance shirts!
“The Trophy Speckled Trout” is the Captain’s personal favorite trip. Trophy Trout Fishing is his passion and is what keeps him up at night thinking about what big Trout are doing and why. This trip will start as early 4.30 in the morning, when you will leave the dock to catch your live bait and may not return until dark. Seven out of 10 people catch the biggest trout of their life on this trip!
Your trip will include all the necessary fishing equipment, including rods, reels, tackle, and various lures, as well as licenses. Your fish will be cleaned, filleted, and packaged for you to take home after the trip. The Captain will provide water, but you may want to bring your own snacks and food for lunch.
