3rd Alarm Fishing is based in Islamorada, the “Sportfish Capital of the World”, at the beautiful Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina. These local waters attract thousands of experienced anglers from all around the world due to their amazing fishing opportunities. You will be fishing aboard a 36’ Hatteras Sportfish boat, which is powered by twin 350 HP Yanmar engines, and equipped with outriggers, live bait tank, anchoring system, and navigational electronics. For your maximum comfort on the water, there is a spotless clean marine bathroom, galley with refrigerator, comfy couches inside the salon with ice-cold Air Conditioning.
Your trip will take place nearshore or offshore. Depending on how much time you intend to spend on the water, you’ll target a great variety of species, such as Mahi-Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Atlantic Sailfish, Wahoo, Cobia, Grouper, Snapper, Tarpon, Shark…the list just keeps going! The Captain and the crew will introduce you to a variety of techniques: from light to heavy tackle, and bottom fishing to trolling.
The price of your trip includes use of all premium rods, reels, and tackle, live bait, lures, and fishing licenses. Your catch will be cleaned and filleted for you to take home, or professionally packaged, sub-zero frozen, stored and then shipped back to your state so you can enjoy your fresh catch at a later date when you arrive home. If you prefer, Captain Rex will recommend local restaurants that will cook your day’s catch for dinner that night!
