Hammerhead Charter’s

2444 Mohawk Avenue
Fort Pierce FL, United States

Hammerhead Charters runs inshore and flats trips in Fort Pierce, otherwise known as the Sunrise City of Florida. The charter is owned and operated by a USCG licensed Captain Ronnie Duncan who loves sharing his love of fishing these waters with his guests. Depending on the season you can catch a tasty Snapper or a Bluefish, or even an Amberjack.

Captain Ronnie has been fishing the waters of the Indian River for the past 40 plus years and knows every nook and cranny where the fish like to hide. He is a knowledgeable man who likes to pass his knowledge onto the younger generations that are yet to learn about fishing. He’d worked in the citrus industry for 30 years and after retiring decided to do something he loves: fishing.

He wanted to do it the right way and is now a coast guard certified captain with CPR and First Aid qualifications, too. Captain Ronnie is also a member of the Florida Guide Association.

Hammerhead Charters will take you out on a 22 foot Ranger center console bay boat, powered by a 225 HP Yamaha engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots. This speedy boat will get you to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. It features a GPS and a fishfinder, as well as all the safety equipment needed for a safe and successful trip.

You will mainly fish in the flats and inshore waters up to 2 miles offshore, where a variety of species is available in different seasons. You can catch Barracuda year round, Snook is available from November to March, Mangrove Snapper November through April, Grouper and Snappers in the Summer months, and Trout and Black Drum late June to late October.

This is a relaxed charter for those who want to spend 5 hours on the water targeting seasonal fish and bonding with a friend or their child. Captain Ronnie encourages parents to bring kids on the trip.
