Moonlight Lady Fishing specialize in fishing for Striped Bass and Tautog, or Blackfish as it’s called by the locals of Port Washington. You will find this crew out and about, checking out the most productive spots every day of the season. It runs from April until early November, and can produce a very good catch on any given day.
You will go out aboard a 29 foot Dyer Downeast boat, originally built in 1973, and restored in 2016. It is powered by a 210 HP Cummins engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 16 knots. This boat is fully equipped with all the latest electronics to locate the fish, and the safety equipment needed for a safe trip.
It features a toilet, which is very useful if you are taking the family out, an icebox to store your catch until you return to the shore, and outriggers to maximize the catch. You will also have all the fishing gear provided in the form of rods, reels, tackle, lures and live bait, and there is also fly fishing equipment.
Moonlight Lady Fishing will take you out to the nearshore and offshore waters of Port Washington in search of trophy Striped Bass, Tautog, Bluefish, the super delicious Flounder, Fluke, and Porgy.
Your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the day, so you can take it home for dinner. Please bring a cooler to transport the fish home safely. And note, any fish that does not meet the criteria, will be released to be caught another time.
