Road Work Ahead Fishing Charters
Road Work Ahead offers fishing charters on the waters of Long Island Sound. Being based in Stamford Harbor, they have the privilege of fishing for trophy sized Striped Bass and Bluefish. They can also fish for reef dwellers like Blackfish, Sea Bass, and Porgies.
In the fall, they specialize in the elusive False Albacore Tuna which migrate into the Long Island Sound for 4-5 weeks during their fall run.
You will fish aboard a very sound 31 foot Grady White center console, powered by two 300 HP Yamaha engines, with a maximum cruising speed of 38 knots. This boat is an excellent fishing platform and includes Garmin GPS, as well as a Garmin fish finder to locate the best fishing spots in the area.
The boat also features a live well for the bait, an icebox for the catch, and outriggers to maximize your chance of catching fish. There is also a toilet on board which is a plus when you take out the family.
Road Work Ahead will provide you with the fishing gear that includes rods, reels, tackle, and bait. You’ll also have a fishing license and your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of your trip, so you can just relax and enjoy your day on the water with an amazing crew.
