Meren Lomat Fishing

Meren Lomat fishing is the result of one man’s passion for angling, and his wish to share his love of the beautiful waters he grew up on. Captain Keijo has spent his whole life fishing in the area’s lakes and rivers. Now, he runs a successful charter business, taking small groups out onto the local waters to target the fantastic Trout, Pike, and Perch which inhabit the area.

The boat you will be spending the day on is a 10’ Terhi 475 motorboat. Despite its size, this hardy and reliable vessel has room for up to 3 guests, thanks to its wide build and fore and aft fishing space. It comes equipped with GPS and fishfinder to help track down the best fish, quality tackle and lures to bring them in with.

There’s snorkeling equipment on board if you fancy getting in the water, not just on it. You will also be supplied with fishing licenses and beer on each trip, so you really just need to turn up!

You will spend your day fishing the Suvasvesi Lake and the surrounding rivers, targeting large Lake Trout, Perch, and Pike. Depending on the time of year, you will be either trolling, spinning, or jigging to bring in your catch.

Captain Keijo knows these waters better than the back of his hand, and will take you to all the best spots for each species, advising you on the best species to focus on depending on which is at its peak at the time of your trip.

This is the perfect escape into nature for anyone looking to get back to the important things in life – beautiful scenery, peace and tranquility, a rod in your hand and a huge fish at the end of the line.

Join Meren Lomat Fishing and explore some of the most beautiful waters of Finland for a memorable experience!
