Safe Harbor - The Good Life

4772 Safe Harbor Way
Jacksonville FL, United States

Safe Harbor offers spectacular fishing adventures on St John’s River or in the saltwater of Jacksonville, Florida. They will take you fishing in the offshore waters or cruising along the river for unforgettable moments spent with your loved ones.

Safe Harbor will take you on this magnificent 50-foot Hatteras offshore sport fishing boat named The Good Life. It is powered by two 400 HP GMC Diesel engines. It contains all the safety and electronic equipment needed for a productive trip, such as life jackets, a GPS, and a fishfinder.

There is a great flybridge which can be used for sight fishing or sightseeing, depending on what you feel like doing. And the onboard toilet is a huge plus if you are taking a family out on the water.

You will sail out with a seasoned Captain and a crew of 3 first mates who will provide all the necessary fishing gear including bait, a fishing license, and a cleaning and filleting service.

The targeted offshore species will include Red Snapper, Wahoo, Sailfish, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, and other species available in the rich Florida waters.

Safe Harbor is a project of Dr. Doug Smith and his lovely wife Robbie, who started the Safe Harbor Boys Home and Academy over 30 years ago. They did so in order to help at-risk teenage boys turn their lives around and devote their time to learning about seamanship.

This program has over 95% success rate by using therapeutic maritime training. The boys work at the dock and on the boats,  maintaining them fully and learning to become mates and, hopefully, successful captains. By booking a trip with Safe Harbor you donating directly to the Boys Home.

Thank you for your support.
