Enjoy your adventure with Heatwave Fishing Charters aboard a 31-foot “Heatwave I “, which comes powered by twin 330 HP Mercruiser engines for a dry ride. Its maximum cruising speed is 39 knots and it has a carrying capacity of 5 anglers. The “Heatwave I” is rigged with navigational electronics, which include a GPS, a Simrad autopilot, a Lowrance Elite 9 color fish finder, and a VHF radio. The boat is also equipped with a private restroom, a spacious cabin with a bed, and an eating area with a refrigerator.

On your day out with Heatwave Fishing Charters, you will be trolling for Musky on Lake St. Clair. The Captain knows all the hot spots where the fish are biting. On a regular day, you can expect to land an average of 13 Muskies, whilst Captain’s personal best is 45 Muskies per trip.

Captain Craig is a great teacher, who enjoys sharing his knowledge with his guests. He can put you on your first ever fish, as well as improve your Musky game. Heatwave Fishing Charters is child-friendly, so kids are very welcome.

During your trip with Heatwave Fishing Charters, the crew will provide you with Shimano Tekota 700 reels and Shimano Tallus rods, as well as tackle and lures.

Captain Craig Miller grew up only a stone’s throw from Saginaw Bay and the Tittabawassee River and started fishing at an early age. Craig considers himself very lucky to have had the opportunity to fish for Walleye every day after school. When he turned 23, he moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he was introduced to the beautiful Lake St. Clair. There, he got his first taste of fishing for trophy Musky, which was the beginning of his passion for that freshwater gamefish. Captain Craig is U.S.C.G. Licensed Master Captain, Red Cross Certified in CPR & First Aid, as well as a member of the Michigan Charter Boat Association and the Michigan-Ontario Muskie Club. For Craig, fishing is more than just business – it’s an obsession.
