To get the most out of fishing in Charleston, look no further than Fin Stalker Charters. Captain Chris Chavis is a Charleston native with over 20 years of experience. He welcomes all anglers, no matter their skill level. Come aboard and enjoy casting lines from the jetties in Charleston Harbor to the Gulf Stream, and everywhere in between!
Step aboard “Fin Stalker II,” a 30’ Sea Hunt powered by twin 500 HP Yamaha engines. This vessel comes equipped with everything you need, including GPS, fishfinder, outriggers, and a live bait well. An onboard toilet caters to your comfort. There is room on board for up to six passengers and children are welcome.
In Charleston, you can fish 12 months out of the year. Capt. Chris offers a variety of trips that allow you to target the most sought-after species inshore, nearshore, and offshore. Short runs to the jetties in Charleston Harbor and various nearshore reefs will give you a chance to tangle with Bull Redfish, Tarpon, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Spadefish, Barracuda, Jack-Crevalle, and Sharks.
On the other hand, fishing 20-50 miles offshore presents the opportunity to bottom fish for Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, and Black Sea Bass. While trolling the deep sea you might reel in Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and even a Billfish or two. Depending on the species, you can try your hand at any technique from trolling to spinning, jigging, and fly fishing. Capt. Chris supplies Penn fishing gear and fly fishing equipment.
Fin Stalker Charters provides a fishing license and all the gear you need. Depending on the species, you may keep your catch and Capt. Chris will clean and fillet it for you. Parents must provide life vests for their children. Please note that there is a 5% processing fee if you are paying the captain with a credit card.
