Enjoy your ride with Capt Ellis Charters aboard a spacious 53-ft “Capt. Ellis” She comes powered by twin 420 HP Caterpillar engines and has a maximum cruising speed of 12 knots. Capt. Ellis is fully rigged with navigational electronics, which include a GPS, a VHF radio, a fish finder, and a radar. A flybridge is fitted to aid the search for the fish, an anchoring system helps to make sure you stay rooted to the fishing ground, and an ice-box keeps the catch fresh during the day. Inside, Capt. Ellis is air-conditioned and features a toilet, a kitchen, and beds for you to relax in between the bites. There is enough space for up to 15 anglers to fish in comfort.
The Capt. Ellis holds a Federal Permit, which allows the crew to fish beyond the State waters. Whether you want to spend four hours trolling for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Sailfish, and Mahi Mahi, or bottom fish for Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Gag Grouper, Amberjack, Vermillion Snapper, White Snapper, and Red Snapper – Capt. Ellis Charters will accommodate all your needs. You can choose to travel up to 50 miles offshore for some big action or cruise the waters in and around the marina.
A fishing trip with Capt. Ellis Charters comes inclusive with the licenses, rods, reels, and tackle, as well as live and dead bait and lures. If you decide to keep the catch, there is a cleaning and packaging service available at the marina. Feel free to bring your own drinks and food with you.
