The weather forecast was questionable, for the morning of our trip.  Capt. Darrell was great with communication the night before, on deciding if we should go or not.  Once we got the all clear we met Darrell at the dock, the location was easy to find as was the actual slip. The boat was great it had more than ham enough room for our group (2 adults and 2 children) and handled the water great. We were on fish within minutes of leaving the dock, got a really nice Red and some pretty good trout. My son and brother wanted to catch shark, so we went to a different spot and did just that.  Darrell kept the lines rigged and baited constantly, and helped the 2 younger members of our group with their catches.  Darrell was professional, courteous and more than accommodating, we had a great time and caught some great fish, I would definitely book this trip again.

We booked with Darrell and are excited we did. My sister and her family decided to take a trip with us and he went out of his way to find a great guide service for them as well. Our daughter was very afraid when we started out. Darrell went above and beyond to make her feel safe. He even got her to touch a shark. He’s amazing with kids. He set us up catching fish and was right there anytime we needed something.  His boat and gear are extremely well maintained and clean. Ladies there is even a private bathroom. We caught a good variety of fish. We even learned about ribbon fish and lizard fish. Our son really enjoyed catching 3 good size sharks. Our daughter loved catching the baby sharks. My daughter, my mother, and myself had a excellent time with Captain Darrel. The weather had been up and down for the past week and I was a little concerned that we would be able to fish due to rains, but the morning turned out great. There was a bit of cloud cover which made it ideal. Darrel knew right where to go and with in minutes of dropping anchor and getting set up Penelope (my daughter) had the first fish of the day! We continued to catch fish for a couple of hours and before we knew it the cooler was filling up with fish.

Darrel took us around the bay to a couple more spots and gave a tour of the rich history Galveston holds.

Darrel was a very professional guide and has an abundant knowledge of the local waters. He put us on the fish that’s for sure!

Captain Darrell was awesome he was knowledgeable about the area, we caught fish when the fishing was tough. He has a great boat it is large and very stable even in rough water.  It was a great outing and spending half a day with Captain Darrell was a fantastic experience for me and my 16 year old grandson. I would recommend his charter service to anyone looking for a great Captain and an excellent boat.

Had a great trip good captain Darrell although it was wasn’t the best conditions we still caught a few fish and had a great time even called before our trip to let us know that the fishing was not going to be that great due to weather. Gave us the option to cancel our trip at no cost to us we decided to go anyways and had a great time thanks Captain Darrell you will see us again soon
