Cleland Guide Service invites you on a fishing adventure on Lake Sharpe and Lake Francis Case on the Missouri River in South Dakota. These waters offer outstanding fishing from Spring to Fall for a variety of fish. The charter is guided by Captain Gary Cleland who has fished this area for over 45 years and is one of the top guides in the area of Chamberlain.
Captain Gary can take you fishing as early as February, due to a large population of Walleye moving to Lake Francis Case in the Chamberlain. area of the Missouri River to spawn. The Walleye stay here until the Summer when the action moves to Lake Sharpe just 20 miles up the river.
Lake Sharpe fishing is excellent throughout the Summer offering 50 to 100 daily catches of Walleye, and a good concentration of trophy Smallmouth Bass, too. During the Fall, the Walleye return to Lake Francis Case and prepare for the upcoming Spring spawning season again.
Captain Gary will take you out on a 21-foot Lund aluminum fishing boat originally built in 2017. It is powered by two 200 HP Mercury engines, with a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots and is very reliable. The boat contains all the USCG approved safety equipment, electronics in the form of a fishfinder and a GPS, as well as a livewell for the bait.
Cleland Guide Service will provide the fishing gear including rods, reels, tackle, live and artificial bait, and a fish cleaning service at the end of the trip. All you have to do is show up with a fishing license and they pretty much have everything else. This charter is very child-friendly so bring your kids along for an exciting day of fishing and learning!
