Salty Feathers invites you for a light tackle and fly fishing trip in Homosassa, Florida. The guiding is done by Captain Coty Garrett who is a Florida native and a 4th generation Florida Guide. He has fly fished and guided all over Florida and will be able to guide you to the best and most productive spots.

Coty Garrett can accommodate everyone from the beginning fly angler to the advanced fly fishermen, and everyone in between. If you have never fly fished in a saltwater environment then Captain Coty is your man. He is very patient and attentive to his guests, and is also willing to work super hard to put you on the fish of your dreams.

Salty Feathers will take you fishing for Redfish, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Tripletail, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Mangrove Snapper, and Cobia on a half day, ¾ day, or a full day trip. Alternatively, you can book a Tarpon trip, and use or learn fly fishing skills to target massive Tarpon.

You will go out on a 17-foot Spear Boatworks skiff built in 2017 and powered by a 50 HP Tohatsu engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots. The boat is perfect for the shallow waters and super fast in getting you to the desired locations. The fishing gear is provided, as are the lures, drinks, a fishing license, and cleaning and filleting at the end of your trip.

Captain Coty is a 4th generation fly fisherman with 6 years of professional guiding experience. He has fly fished in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Georgia and on the Texas Gulf coast. Captain Coty is experienced in fishing tail waters in small streams for wild Brown and Brook Trout, as well as Tarpon fishing on the Gulf coast of Florida.
