Description

Sea Born 2 is a fully-equipped 24 center console Grady White, a distinguished brand among many boat enthusiasts. The vessel is powered by twin Yamaha 150HP engines and has a maximum capacity of 4 anglers. It’s equipped with a GPS and radio for navigation, a multimedia system for your enjoyment as well as Fishfinder. There’s a toilet on board as well.

Captain Alex Oben, the company’s owner is an experienced fisherman that will do everything he can to put you on fish. Alex operates both inshore and offshore fishing trips in the prolific waters of San Juan along with his 2 other captains Kevin and Maloro that have been working with Alex for a long time and specialize in running inshore trips in particular.

There’s a variety of species you can come across when fishing in Puerto Rico. Inshore fishing provides you with an opportunity to hook up a notorious Puerto Rican Tarpon, Snook, Yellowtail, Permit, Barracuda and plenty others, all the while taking in the many historic sites you can enjoy only while fishing in the San Juan Harbor.

Offshore fishing, on the other hand, gives you a chance to fight with some of the most sought-after big game species in the world. You can choose between live baiting for the likes of Tuna, Albacore, Skipjacks, Kingfish and Grouper, or pulling baits and chasing the bigger species such as Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Tuna and others.

All the necessary tackle for both inshore or offshore fishing are provided by the crew, which utilizes live as well as artificial bait on their trips. Snacks, beverages, as well as a cooler with ice will be provided for your consideration. Following your trip, the crew will be happy to help you clean your catch if you so wish. Fishing licenses are included in the price.

All in all the fishing trip was great. The crew was amazing and the fishing was excellent. I wouldn’t bring children under 16 on the smaller boat.
Would bring gear because if wavy still get wet. Overall we would come back and fish again with Capt Alex and his team

Unfortunately, we got totally skunked.  There had been bad weather in previous days.  The first mate did advise me of the risk of poor fishing, having not been out for a few days and offered some inshore light tackle options.  I ended up going with the deep sea trip and the weather impacted it badly.  The only thing is I’m not really the expert so I made the decision, but really regretted it.

The young captain (Kevin) was friendly and personable and worked hard to put us on fish.
