Ajax Charters invites you to experience Boston Harbor fishing with Captain David Bartels. The charter is dedicated to giving their guests the opportunity to quickly target fish while at the same time providing a great game fishing experience. You will fish around the beautiful historic Boston Harbor, and Quincy and Hingham Bays.
One of your target species will be Striped Bass, which is known for its significant sport fishing qualities and good food qualities. The silvery beauty is mostly caught using a variety of live baits, but they also enjoy dead bait. Striped Bass are in the Boston area from May through October, with the peak season being July and August when Captain David runs 3 daily trips: morning, afternoon, and early evening.
Flounder is another fish you will target. This flatfish species has two eyes on the same side when it reaches adulthood. It is a clever fish as it camouflages itself by lying on the bottom of the seabed to protect itself from predators. Flounder is extremely delicious and can be prepared in many ways.
Ajax Charters will take you fishing aboard our Proine 260 walkaround with a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots. The speedy boat will get you to the productive fishing locations efficiently, and you will enjoy resting on the cushioned seating area if the fish tire you out.
The boat is fully equipped with updated safety and navigation features, and the necessary fishing gear. Captain David will provide you with rods, reels, tackle, licenses, and live bait. So all you have to do is bring positive energy and have a great time out on the water!
