Hop aboard a 22’ Pathfinder boat, powered by a 150 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine and ideal for up to 3 anglers. She’s equipped navigational electronics including GPS and Fishfinder. Her wireless trolling motor keeps you stealthy in shallow waters and her power pole anchor keeps you rooted to your fishing grounds. What’s more, there’s an icebox to keep your catch fresh and live well to entice the bite.

It’s all about taking advantage of the backcountry, flats, and surrounding nearshore waters of Capt. Matt’s trips. You’ll use a variety of methods to target the likes of Snook, Redfish and Trout in the shallows and Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, and Spanish Mackerel in deeper waters.

All trips come inclusive will all the gear you need for a productive day including ten-pound test line and Loomis rods, Daiwa spinning reels, and Orvis fly fishing equipment. At the end of the trip, any catch you choose to keep is cleaned and fillet for easy transport home.

Captain Matt Hoover grew up fishing the waters surrounding the Bass Islands in Lake Erie. In 1977 he moved to Napes, he got his first taste of Florida fishing in the waters surrounding Marco Island, Ten Thousand Islands, and the Everglades National Park. Capt. Matt holds the world record for Snook on a fly in the 2 lb test tippet category. As well as being a fly casting instructor, he writes for magazines, including Florida Sportsman, and has a weekly fishing column for the Marco Daily News. He enjoys taking his friends and guests out on the water and looks forward to meeting you!
