“Fish Hunter FNQ” promises to deliver a memorable trip to the Daintree River, Australia! If you’re feeling like going after the iconic Barramundi, praised for its taste and feisty spirit, make sure to come on board!
The charter is operated by Skipper Will Pritchard who started out as a fisherman early in life. When he was 9, he caught his very first Marlin, and from there onwards he’s been fishing the waters of Australia with plenty of success. Wanting to improve his skills, he worked hard and set the record for catching a trophy Tiger Shark at the age of 12.
He operates a 15’ custom-built flats boat, ideal for a pair of anglers. She’s powered with a 40 HP Yamaha engine and can reach speeds of up to 25 knots, which is precisely what you need to reel in the local species.
The Daintree River is home to a diverse ecosystem of underwater life and the fish species found here are no exception. You’ll head out of Port Douglas to hook into the likes of Mangrove Snapper, Tarpon, Bream, Trevally, and, of course, Barramundi.
With Fish Hunter FNQ, you’ll be trying out spinning, popping, and fly fishing, and your guide will provide all the necessary equipment and fishing licenses. There will also be rods, reels, and tackle, and lures waiting for you onboard.
To make your trip even better, your captain brings along snacks, drinks, and lunch. All you need to do is pack the sun lotion, insect repellent, and a camera. Put on some shades, water-friendly shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing and you’re good to go!
