Rogue River Sport Fishing

Woodlake Court
White City OR, United States

Rogue River Sport Fishing runs year-round drift boat fishing trips among any one of 10 different rivers in Southern Oregon, targeting the big Salmon and Steelhead which inhabit this stunning corner of America. Known for its pristine nature and remote beauty, this largely untouched part of the country offers some of its best river fishing, among the cold clean waters these fish love to lurk in.

You will be spending your day aboard Captain Phillip Tripp’s 2012 Willie drift boat. At 17 ft long, she is the perfect vessel for navigating the area’s many winding riverways, powered either by hand and by the currents themselves or by a small and silent Mercury trolling motor, which will allow you to get into prime position without scaring off the fish. Captain Phillip’s mentality is to keep things simple and do them well, bringing only the essentials, but making sure they are all of the highest quality.

With Rogue River Sport Fishing you can choose between a wide selection of trips, from four-hour stints for those looking to catch some tasty fish and be back in time for lunch, to two-day deals, spending eight hours each day exploring a variety of spots to bring in the very best Oregon has to offer. On each trip, you will be able to use a mixture of spinning and drift fishing in order to tempt in the best and biggest, and there are also special fly fishing trips for enthusiasts looking to test their skills against these wily river species.

Oregon boasts annual runs of Winter Steelhead, Spring Chinook, Summer Steelhead, Fall Chinook, Silver Salmon & Coastal Chinook, meaning there will always be something wrestling at the end of your line, no matter the time of year.

All trips come with all tackle, lures and bait, as well as a cleaning and filleting service for all your catch at the end of the day.

About the Captain

Phillip Tripp
White City, Oregon, United States
Member since March 2017
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and I've been fishing for Salmon and Steelhead since 1996. Before that, my father started me out fishing for Trout on small streams with a willow stick and a bucket of night crawlers. I started professionally guiding in Southern Oregon when I was 19 years old and I am closing in on 27 now. I currently provide year-round professional services on the Rogue, Umpqua, Chetco, Coquille, Elk and Sixes Rivers in Oregon. I also guide in Alaska on the Kenai River every summer. I fish over 200 days a year at this point in my career and am looking for more eager customers who want to explore the world of salmon and steelhead fishing.
