We had the best day even tho the trophy sailfish we were after eluded us. But not by lack of effort for sure. Captain Romeo and deckhand Diego worked non stop the whole trip. They are a great duo. The boat is the cleanest we’ve been on which made it very comfortable. Just perfect for a group of 2 to 3. After a long hunt they made sure to save some time to stop and bottom drop and we had 15 fish in the boat in 20 minutes. They went above and beyond to give us a great trip. After they recommended taking a fish to the restaurant Krudo which ended up being one of the best meals we’ve had. We’ve been on a lot of fishing trips and highly recommend these guys. They are great and we will definitely fish with them again the next time we are in Cancun.

My daughter and I did 3/4 day at the end of March. Our boat broke down at about 11am when we were quite far out to sea. Rambo/Romeo, our captain seemed quite concerned and seemed hesitant to acknowledge the breakdown. In the end they made sure we got back to the dock by a combination of towing and boat transfers - they were very concerned about the customer experience - all in all it turned out well!

Pros:
Caught a lot of fish and variety (which was exceptional for the day because we spoke to another boat captain). Some were also quite large.
Filleted fish into nice manageable pieces
Boat was clean and very well organized
Diego worked exceptionally quickly to get rigs into the water and fishing
Packed the filleted fish into ice bags for transport home in our cooler.

Cons:
It’s not really fishing, it’s more like watching the crew fish and then you reel in their catch, seems like this is common practice though. Would be great if they allocated a rod to a guest to fish and they looked after the remaining ones.
Would have liked more explanation on the type of rigs they were setting up and the baiting (May not be reasonable given the language barriers)

Overall it was a very good experience and would recommend it - not sure I’d do it again unless there was more involvement in the actual fishing.

This was simply a great day with a top notch charter. Capitan Rambo and his first mate Hugo were friendly and professional, and worked very hard to put us on fish.  The water was rough, but they made sure we were comfortable. After a fast-paced morning of barracuda after barracuda, we headed deep and found a dorado, and a small tuna.  We drifted for a while and caught some more barracuda.  These guys worked very hard the whole time to make sure we were safe, happy, and catching fish.  I may rebook again on this trip, and the next time I’m in Cancun, I will definitely book them again!

Experienced crew, aptly brought in bait fish shortly after departure and we landed a barracuda on the way out.  Slow day in the early morning.  Snagged some Bonita and the fun began.  Hauled in horse eye Jack, red snapper, and a trigger fish.  Captain filleted the snapper and trigger at the marina, where it was prepared at the marina restaurant.  Comment on Mamacita - boar ran admirably, but I noticed the pole holders in the fishinerman chairs appeared to be handmade aftermarket and apt to cause someone a leg injury if not careful.  Definitely would not pass inspection. In the US.  Other than that, I had a terrific day, glad I went.  I was traveling alone this trip.

The place was near our hotel so we were able to take a 5 minute bus ride to the marina. The boat was just big enough for 5 of us and even had a small bathroom if needed. They answered questions I had before the trip and gave more detailed directions and information a few days prior to the scheduled trip. Caught about 4-5 different species of fish, mostly barracuda and a couple nice size bonitos. Whoever caught the biggest fish got $10 from everyone, my sister took that reward with a barracuda that was about 4 feet long. They did a great job at explaining their methods to us whenever we had questions. Had a great time overall fishing with my family. Would definitely recommend it and definitely do it again.
