From the heart of the Keys, Savage Sportfishing offers diverse fishing. Based in Marathon, there’s excellent inshore, nearshore, and offshore fishing on their doorstep. Exploit the picturesque scenery and tropical climate and hop aboard with Captain Destin Bayer. Born and raised in the Keys, he’s fished and dived these waters since birth. His experience and knowledge are second to none, and he can’t wait to show you the best the sea has to offer.
Head off aboard a 29’ SeaVee center console. Powered by a 250 HP Suzuki motor, you’ll hit speeds of up to 56 knots, leaving land a distant memory behind. Thanks to the onboard GPS and fishfinder, you’ll have no trouble finding the sweet spots, while you’ll have plenty of space to sit, relax, and enjoy the weather on the deck. With near 360-degree vision, you’ll get to appreciate the surroundings, and keep your eye on your target fish.
During the summer, shorter trips will take you to the Seven Mile Bridge, where you’ll target the “Silver King” for an exciting adventure. Hit the reefs and wrecks, otherwise, and bottom fish for impressive nearshore species. Snappers, Groupers, Amberjacks, Barracudas, and Cobia, are just some of the thrilling fish you’ll face. If you have time, head offshore and troll to try and catch the bite of beautiful Sailfish, delicious Tuna or Mahi Mahi, and more.
Try your hand at a range of fishing techniques when on board with Savage Sportfishing. Capt. Destin is a spearfishing expert, so just let him know if you want a go. Otherwise, feel free to bring your own fly gear or bowfishing equipment, and get ready to make your dreams come true. With snorkeling and sunset trips available, there truly is something for everyone. All you need to do is bring a cooler full of snacks and drinks to make the most of it.
