Big Dog Sportfishing

Herring Brook Way
Orleans MA, United States

Big Dog Sportfishing is Cape Cod’s premier charter service. The crew specialize in targeting Striped Bass and Bluefish on light tackle and fly, and Bluefin Tuna on conventional and spinning tackle. The local waters are legendary for the numerous Striped Bass locales. Be it casting top water plugs off Race Point into epic schools or fly-fishing Monomoy Rips for trophy fish, Big Dog Sportfishing is your best choice.

Step aboard the crew’s “Unsinkable Legend”, which is a 26-foot Boston Whaler Outrage center console. It comes powered by twin 200 HP Yamaha engines for more security and speed and provides comfortable fishing space for up to six anglers. This clean, seaworthy fishing machine is fully rigged with state-of-the-art navigational electronics, including a Garmin GPS, a radar, and a sounder to aid your search for the fish. The ability to trailer gives the boat an advantage over many other boats. There is a toilet on board for your maximum comfort when spending your day on the water, as well as a live bait tank and outriggers for a professional fishing experience.

Big Dog Sportfishing’s trips can be tailored to what you want out of your day on the water. If you feel like chasing Striped Bass, the season begins in May and continues through early October. Big Dog is also obsessed with landing Toro (fatty Tuna), so Tuna fans will enjoy the special 8-hour trip.

A trip with Big Dog Sportfishing comes inclusive with all the necessary equipment to make outstanding catches possible. You will be provided with all Shimano and Penn rods and reels, as well as lures and the licenses for you and your group. If you are interested in chasing fish on the fly, Big God will provide their premium Orvis set-ups. Once caught, your fish will be cleaned and filleted for a ride home. You can also feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. Please note that smoking and glass bottles are not allowed on board.
