Grew up in eastern NC and spent many years learning the trade. I have been fishing offshore for nearly 25 years and have been running charters, fishing tournaments and running deliveries for much of that time. I hold a USCG 100 Ton Master license and am also a certified open water diver. Coastal Angler magazine has me write their monthly offshore report. We understand that fishing is important but also believe that our customer service should be second to none - Our customers are our best advertising. We provide a great experience starting with our very well maintained boat, then we only use top of the line tackle and combine that with our knowledge of fishing and commitment to excellence. We want to be the best every day!

A captain can’t control the weather or the fish, but he has 100% control over the boat and the gear.  The boat was emaculately clean, gear was in tip-top-shape, and the crew were a blast to spend the day alongside.  Captain and First-Mate were professional, funny, and willing to share their knowledge of fishing; what a perfect combination. You never know what a day of fishing will bring.  Half day inshore fishing does not leave you many options.  The day started off with 4 hits in the first 15mins, then crickets for an hour and a half.  But Captain Trey would not be beat and he put us on fish.  Ended the day with a plethora of Spanish and Blues, and memories that would last many years to come.

Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to post a review.  Glad the sea laid a bit and the fish finally cooperated.  I believe we got enough for a good ole fish fry for you folks!  Look forward to having you with us again soon.  Thanks again!

The day’s promise of a decent inshore catch seemed questionable, but Capt Troy Pate bird-dogged our way through some swell and chop to mackerel and a couple of blues and bullets on the line. You never know what the fish are going to do (or not!); hats off to Capt Troy and Mate Brett for making it happen. First rate. Nice work!

You could not ask for a better pair than Captain Troy and mate Brett. These guys made our party-of-5 full-day offshore trip the experience of a lifetime! The boat is incredibly clean and comfortable—having a bathroom is a huge plus and it was as clean as the rest of the boat. We left out of Atlantic Beach and headed out to the big waters at 5 am. (If you need to grab coffee before your trip and your hotel doesn’t serve any until 7 am, go across the street to Scotchmans; super close walk and well worth it for coffe!) our weather wasn’t the greatest, but Captain Troy managed to keep us out of the ever-surrounding-us rain. Troy is awesome. This guy knows his fishing and captaining stuff, but he is also just a genuinely nice guy—we had to reschedule our first outing with him and he was amazingly easy to work with! Brett knows his fishing too and worked ridiculously hard to ensure we got into some big fish. Between Brett’s baiting/lure strategy in combination with Troy’s adept captaining skills, we brought home king mackerel, dolphin, and a great big wahoo! The consensus between the 5 of us that went out was that we would definitely come back and dish w/these guys!! We highly recommend them!! We went out with them yesterday and are already planning on coming back in September to fish with these guys!

Thank you so much Amy,  you guys were awesome!  Weather guesser really missed the forecast but you all hung in there and made for a good day. The 2 ladies that didn’t feel good really bounced back. Glad we managed some fish despite the storms keeping us away from where we wanted to be.  Look forward to seeing you again this fall,  thanks so much for the kind words,  we try our best!
