Trip Summary
Spring has sprung here in Anna Maria Island/Bradenton. Tampa bay is full of life and we have been catching just about everything that prowls the bay. The sea trout bite has been insane with nice slot sized fish being caught on almost every cast some days. There has also been some nice sized mackeral mixed in with the trout on deeper grass flats if you would like to try to bring home something to eat. The mangrove snapper are also moving into the bay right now making for more good eats.
Snook fishing is at its peak right now with fish transitioning to the beaches and passes to start their spawn. They have been feeding heavily on the morning incoming tides making for great catch and release action with shots at big fish as well.
Tarpon fishing is also very productive this time of year with fish migrating up the beach and staging in the passes to feed and eventually make their long journey out in the Gulf of Mexico to spawn.
There is lots of options right now which makes this time of year very special.
