Louisiana Fishing Guide Service

Nunez Road
Slidell LA, United States

Louisiana Fishing Guide Service offers exciting saltwater fly fishing charters in the rich Louisiana waterways. During our excursions, we explore the Marsh and other rich fishing territories in search of redfish, black drum, sheepshead and jack crevalle. The fly fishing adventure begins aboard a Hell’s Bay Guide Skiff. These stealthy fish skim through the shallow water with their backs emerging from the water’s surface feeding on crabs, shrimp and mullet making for thrilling sight fishing. During the fall and winter months, the crystal clear, shallow water makes it possible to sight cast to huge Bull Reds floating along the surface. If you’re serious about fly fishing, there’s nothing like Louisiana fly fishing where big bulls can push 40 plus pounds. The Louisiana Marsh is the “go to” place for trophy redfish.

Louisiana temperate climate and shallow waterways make it excellent for year round salt water fly fishing. While redfish are the primary catch, it is not uncommon to wrestle in black drum up to 70 pounds. Louisiana Fishing Guide Service offers numerous salt water fly fishing excursions in the New Orleans area, a beautiful waterway situated on the northeastern shoreline of Louisiana. We will challenge even the most seasoned angler with an exciting day on the water. In addition to this outstanding location, Louisiana boasts hundreds of miles of wandering waterways full of gigantic redfish and abundant feeding areas, making it a fly fisherman’s dream.

I was born and raised on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain. I began fishing in my backyard as a kid as soon as I could hold a fishing pole. We would catch plenty of bass and bluegill. Once I grew older my grandfather would take me to Delacroix and we would catch speckled trout and redfish. Once I began saltwater fishing it became an addiction. All I wanted to do was go fishing as much as possible. Then I eventually got into the sight fishing aspect and was hooked even more. There is no bigger rush than hunting these redfish in shallow water and watching them inhale the fly.
