Wild J's Fishing Adventures LLC

East Elm Street

Wild J’s Fishing Adventures invites you to spend a day on the open or frozen water in one of the magical northern lakes of South Dakota. This area is full of lakes: big and small. You name it, they have it. Fish can always be caught, whether it is Summertime and you are floating on the water or Wintertime and you are drilling holes to be able to reach them.

The charter is operated by Joey Craft who has fished the South Dakota waters for over 23 years with the help of a great teacher - his dad. Joe Craft is a legendary Walleye fisherman with over 40 years of experience on these waters. Together, they make a great team of knowledgeable and patient guides willing to share their expertise in order to make your day on the water memorable.

If you choose an open water trip, you will fish aboard a 22-foot Ranger 621 performance fishing boat originally built in 2017. Powered by a 350 HP Mercury Outboard engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 67 knots, this boat will get you to the productive waters in a flash. It is fully equipped with the necessary safety and navigational equipment, as well as a wireless trolling motor, and a livewell.

The open water trips are available in the Spring and Summer months and allow you to target Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Crappie, and Yellow Perch.

Wild J’s Fishing Adventures also offers ice fishing adventures. The team will be drilling a hole in the ice prior to your arrival. They will then mount a portable ice shack on top of the hole and prepare the fishing gear and other equipment for your arrival. On these trips, you can normally target Walleye and Yellow Perch.

Also available is ice shack rental, which includes a generator for power in the shack. The shack is fully equipped with 5 beds, a shower, a toilet, a kitchenette, and a dining table. The ice shack allows you to fish for 24 hours as this is how long you can rent it for.
