Fighting Fins Charters operates out of Panama City, FL, making the most of the area’s abundant year-round fishery with a range of trips from 4 to 8 hours. Target species vary, but mainly focus on Kingfish, Grouper, Snapper, and Amberjack. On longer trips, you will have the chance to head out further, in search of pelagic favorites like Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo.
You will be spending the day aboard a 25’ Everglades center console, with room aboard for up to 4 guests. Powered by a 300HP Yamaha four stroke, she can cruise at up to 30 knots to get you to the best fishing grounds quickly, and comes equipped with plenty of tech and equipment to give you the upper hand once you get there.
The vessel comes with high tech Garmin electronics to sound out the best spots, a sneaky Minn Kota i-Pilot trolling motor for fishing in the bay, and a livewell full to bursting with fresh live bait to tempt in even the fussiest fish. You will also be supplied with high-quality fishing tackle for a variety of techniques, to best target the sizeable range of species inhabiting the area.
Captain Troy has spent his whole life fishing, both locally, and around the world. He grew up fishing the Caribbean, before traveling extensively during his time in the navy. Since his retirement in 2005, he has been running fishing charters, to share his love and knowledge for the sport. He is an experienced guide and passionate angler, who will always have a trick up his sleeve to keep things interesting.
