Poage Outdoor Adventures

Indian Hill Boulevard
Livingston TX, United States

Poage Outdoor Adventures invites you on a river or a lake fishing trip in the beautiful setting of Livingston, Texas. The city of Livingston is conveniently located on Lake Livingston, which was constructed on the Trinity River. These waters are abundant with tasty panfish and are considered a great source of fun and education for the locals and visitors.

The charter is operated by a USCG licensed Captain Robert Poage who has fished these waters his whole life. He spends a lot of time on the water that there is hardly anyone who comes close to catching the amount of fish he catches. Captain Robert loves taking kids and families fishing and teaching them all about fishing on the Trinity River and Lake Livingston.

Poage Outdoor Adventures will take you fishing for Striped Bass, White Bass, Alligator Gar, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and Catfish. The species are available year round, so whatever season you book your trip, something will be biting!

You will fish aboard his 18-foot Alweld tunnel hull aluminum boat powered by a 90 HP Yamaha engine. This boat is deep and wide providing a perfect fishing platform typically used for rivers, shallow parts of the lake, and flats in the bay. You will find life jackets for safety, a GPS and a fishfinder for locating the productive spots, and a set of outriggers to maximize the catch, all aboard this boat.

Poage Outdoor Adventures provides rods, reels, tackle, live baits, and lures. They are very child-friendly and have a no smoking and no drinking policy onboard. Captain Robert is able to clean your fish at the end of the trip for an extra fee.

About the Captain

Robert Poage
Livingston, Texas, United States
Member since April 2017
I was a recreational fisherman and I worked owning and operating a Sonic Drive-In. The work demanded long hours and no time with family and/or the outdoors. Everyone used to ask me what I charge for fishing trips even before I became a captain. So, my family and I decided to give it a shot. We want to provide the best experience for anyone that goes on one of our adventures. I really love when a young person takes their first duck or catches their first fish. We are located in east Texas but will travel to meet a clients' need.
