Venice Island Boat Rentals & Charters invites you to join them for a fun and relaxing day of fishing in Venice, Florida. The spectacular Intracoastal waterways of Venice produce good amounts of sought-after shallow water fish. You can enjoy a boat ride with beautiful scenery and great fishing all in the company of professional captain Brad Laroche.

Captain Brad can take you on half day trips in the morning or at sunset, as well as on ¾ day trips that will allow you more time on the water. Your targeted species will include Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, and Jack Crevalle. The sunset trips are great for Snook as they are attracted to the lights from the bridges, docks, and break walls that attract baitfish.

Fishing aboard Captain Brad’s 22-foot Hurricane deck boat, you will enjoy the space and comfortable cushioned seating benches. This boat was made for pleasure with a wide deck and a t-top for shade. It is powered by a 115 HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots, and also features a wireless trolling motor for the super shallow water.

Venice Island Boat Rentals & Charters will provide you with rods, reels, tackle, and live bait, and they can also clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip. You should bring a cooler in order to transport your fish home safely. Captain Brad runs a very child-friendly charter and is able to accommodate up to 6 guests on board. So come along with your family and friends for a fun day of Venice fishing!

It seems inshore fishing is poor in Venice.  We went south and started well when the captain spotted some feeding redfish at one of the bridges.  We didn’t catch any but when the redfish departed we did get a couple of undersized snook.  After that the fishing experience deteriorated to zero.  We had six people on board and only three rods so some of us had a lot of downtime.  Because we never really left the channel the scenery was not exactly captivating and didn’t compare well to similar trips we have taken from a Sarasota location.  My advice ... when in Venice stick to offshore fishing!

Yea sorry about your experience the hole inter coastal was brown with rain water and the bait was scattered usually the water is a beautiful blue color and fishing is good the mayaka was at peak highs and that’s what caused all rain water.
