Back Creek Bowfishing specializes in stalking the shallow creeks of the back marsh by night in search of huge Redfish, Flounder, Garfish, Alligator Gars, and more. Based out of Pearlington, MS, Back Creek Bowfishing focuses exclusively on the up-and-coming sport of bowfishing, which has seen a steady rise in popularity over the past few years.
You will be fishing aboard a 21’ Tracker Grizzly aluminum fishing boat with a cruising speed of around 35 knots. Built in 2016, this vessel was purpose-made for bowfishing, with a huge amount of deck space and complete walkaround fishability that supports up to 4 archers at once.
At night the boat lights up the marsh with ultra-bright LED flood lamps, giving you the drop on any fish slumbering in the dark waters beneath your feet. The vessel also features GPs and fishfinder to sound out the very best fishing spots when relying on sight alone is not an option.
You will generally start your trip fishing the local shallow creeks, which make for the best bowfishing territories, but if you don’t find what you are after, Captain Michael Juneau will take you further afield to the flats and the bay to make sure you catch some great fish.
Captain Michael will run everybody through the basics of bowfishing before you set out to make sure each trip is fun and safe for everyone on board, and once out on the water, he will be constantly on hand to make sure you feel confident and secure in using all the equipment, and to pass on all his top tricks for bringing in the biggest fish out there.
All Back Creek Bowfishing trips come with all necessary equipment and licenses. So all you need is a steady hand and big cooler to put all your catch in!
