He knows all the fishing spots, fish feeding and spawning patterns, and techniques necessary for a great catch. Best of all – he’ll share it with you!
Captain Ryan operates a 24’ Dargel flats boat which was built in 2015 with a capacity for four guests. Powered by a 200 HP Evinrude engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 55 knots this vessel is fast and reliable. It has an onboard GPS that allows you to locate fish in deeper water, and two sighting towers located at the bow and stern ideal for spotting tailing fish in clear shallow water.
Fishing in Arroyo City literally translates to Redfishing, Trouting, and Floundering. There is no better way to describe fishing in this area full of tailing fish roaming the crystal clear waters of the bay. Throwing baits is the normal practice, but if you have a child in your party or are a beginner, Captain Ryan says you can use live bait, too.
Arroyo City Outfitters provide rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fish cleaning. You will need to obtain a Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp and you are advised to bring food and drinks for the day, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a cooler for your catch.
