Morehead City is a go-to destination for avid anglers, scuba divers, and ocean lovers. And there’s no better way to experience the excellent inshore and offshore fishing in the area than with Nakota Charters! Captain David Stone has over 20 years of experience fishing the waters around Morehead City and Atlantic Beach and he loves sharing his knowledge with his customers.
He invites you to join him on a trip of a lifetime on his 24’ Cobia center console, newly built in 2020. This beauty comes powered by a 300 HP Yamaha motor and can take you and up to 5 other anglers fishing without tangling lines. It’s also rigged with top-notch safety and navigational equipment for a comfortable and productive fishing experience.
The captain will put you on anything that the bountiful local waters can offer, from Drum and Trout in the marshes to King Mackerel and Cobia in the nearshore waters. If you have an itch for a specific species, just let him know and, if in season, he will try his best to get you on it.
You’ll have the best professional fishing gear at your disposal, just make sure to bring your own equipment if you want to go fly fishing. Live bait and lures are also provided. You’ll be using live bait for tempting bigger predators, such as King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Cobia. It will be waiting for you on board on half-day trips, but you’ll have an opportunity to catch it yourself on full-day trips.
This charter is perfect for introducing your kids to the joys of angling because there is no age limit except for Flounder trips (your little ones have to be at least four). So don’t wait a second longer and book an adventure all ages will enjoy to the fullest!
