Central Florida Bucketmouths is owned and operated by Captain Monte Goodman. He is a professional Bass fishing guide and a successful tournament angler who has been guiding for over 20 years. Captain Monte’s mission is to provide a safe, enjoyable, educational, and successful experience for all his guests.
Fishing is done aboard a 21’ Triton Bass boat originally built in 2010 with a capacity for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Powered by a 250 HP Mercury engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 60 knots. The fast and steady Bass boat is equipped with a GPS and a fishfinder which help locate the fish, and a livewell that holds the live well.
Polk County is adorned by hundreds of lakes and spectacular natural resources which make this region a thriving fishery. The lakes of Central Florida you will fish include the Kissimmee Chain, Lake Toho, Walk in Water, Istokpoga, and the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, as well as a few highly sought after private lakes and pits.
This area is perhaps the most famous for Largemouth Bass, which has countless fishing tournaments dedicated to it. Bass are catch and release only. Other species may be taken according to size and bag limits. The other fish species you can target include Catfish, Crappie, Sunfish, and other small Panfish. Capt. Monte prides himself not only on the success of catch but also by providing outstanding customer service and helping his guests become better anglers.
Capt. Monte provides rods, reels, tackle, and lures for fishing, as well as water and soft drinks. You are welcome to bring along snacks and lunch, as well as sunglasses, sunscreen, and an insect repellant. All passengers who are 16 years of age or older, must have a freshwater fishing license.
