Fin Hunter Charters specializes in light tackle fishing adventures on the Chesapeake Bay. If you need a fishing story, Captain Tim is your guide. With the fishing opportunities abound, the Chesapeake Bay is a unique estuary. It is home to Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Croaker, Redfish, and White Perch.

Conveniently located just a shore drive from DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis, the crew invite you to join them aboard the “Fin Hunter”. She is a 32-foot pilothouse, perfect for accommodating up to six anglers. The “Fin Hunter” comes powered by a 330 HP Cummins engine and is well-prepared for the current bite. Her navigational electronics include Furuno fish finder and radar, a VHF radio, and Simrad NSS GPS. Inside, there is a toilet, a much needed thing when spending your day on the water!

All Chesapeake Bay fishing trips with Captain Tim can be customized to meet your specific needs. In late winter and early spring, the crew head to the local warm water for Striped Bass. Further into spring, the trophy season comes to the waters of the Mid Bay Area out of Breezy Point. In the summer and autumn months, you could join the crew in the waters out of Deale. Come winter, and you could enjoy the incredible fishery around the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

All trips come with everything you need to make a great catch possible. You will be provided with gear, tackle, bait, and lures. You won’t have to worry about purchasing a fishing license, the captain got you covered. Catch-and-release is encouraged, but you can feel free to keep your catch within the recreational fishing limits.

Tim & Jim were awesome on our trip this morning.  Was a picture perfect day of fishing as the weather was nice and the water was super calm.  caught a fish within 10min and then nothing for awhile.  Capt Tim was vigilantly looking and proactively asking fellow friends on other vessels how their fishing spots were and moved us to change up our luck.  We started catching fish soon after the change in location and had an overall great experience.  Caught our limit and ate 2 of our fish for dinner.  would definitely fish with these guys again!

Great group of guys on a busy memorial day weekend with lots of boat traffic. Fishing was a little slow due to the boat preassure but we managed to catch a 1/2 dozen for the cooler and a lot of throwbacks.
