Captain Ted Nesti Inshore Fishing trips operate out of St. Petersburg, Fl. Capt. Ted is a Florida native and US Coast Guard licensed captain. With over 40 years of fishing experience, he knows a great deal about fishing the inshore waterways of the Tampa Bay area, Pinellas County, and the notorious Gulf of Mexico. Join him for inshore and nearshore light tackle fishing and reel in some of west Florida’s most sought-after game fish!
Capt. Ted operates a fully-equipped, 23’ Hanson center console. Powered by a 150 HP Suzuki four stroke engine, this vessel boasts a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots. She’s outfitted with a 10’ PowerPole anchor system and an assortment of navigational electronics such as GPS and Fishfinder. There’s room on board for up to 4 anglers.
While fishing the Tampa Bay area, you’ll target a variety of species. Capt. Ted specializes in fishing for Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Grouper, Snapper, and several shark species. Depending on the season, you might reel in other species such as Hogfish, Cobia, and King Mackerel, as well. These waters are home to plenty of delicious fish for you to take home, as well as some tough-fighting species for you to test your skills.
Fishing close to shore means you and your family can focus on the experience without getting seasick. You can come aboard and try your luck for half a day, or book a full day trip and increase your chances of catching more fish. You’ll learn the most effective techniques, from spinning and jigging to drift fishing. Capt. Ted will also clean and fillet any keeper fish you’d like to take home.
Captain Ted Nesti Inshore Fishing provides a fishing license and Okuma fishing gear, along with live and artificial bait. All you need to bring is lunch, your preferred beverage, some sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for protection. Last but not least, be sure to bring your enthusiasm for spending a great day on the Florida waters!
