Southern Slam Outfitters specializes in targeting the famous Southern Slam in the inshore waters of the Homosassa River, Florida. If you have an itch to fish and test the waters, join Captain Carey and target Snook, Redfish, and Trout.
A hand-crafted 22-foot Aqua Sport center console is your ticket to the best inshore fishing in Homosassa. The boat performs well in the shallow back waters of the Nature Coast and comes powered by a single 150 HP Mercury engine. Perfect for accommodating up to four anglers, the vessel is rigged with modern navigational electronics and a wireless trolling motor for a quiet ride. There is also a live well loaded with bait and an ice-box to keep the catch fresh during the day. When relaxing in between the bites, you will be able to listen to some music if you want to.
Homosassa fishing charters are an excellent chance to test your angling skills and have fun with your family and friends. The stunning Nature Coast has year-round inshore backwaters fishing opportunities. Depending on the tidal flows and seasonal climates, Captain Carey will take you fishing the hottest spots in the area only he know about.
Fish the back waters, stay close to the shore, check what’s biting on the flats of the Homosassa River. Target Redfish, Trout, Snook, Cobia, Mangrove Snapper, Black Drum, and Jack Crevalle.
All trips come with quality gear and tackle to make a great catch possible. You will be provided with St. Croix rods, Quantum spinning reels rigged with Power-Pro, bait, and Yeti coolers for the catch and refreshments. When you return to the shore, your catch will be cleaned and filleted, ready to jump straight into the grill.
