Texas Coast Fishing Charters is run and operated by Captain Cody Phillips, specializing in inshore and offshore fishing trips out of Galveston, TX. Cody has been on the water ever since he was five, and will happily share what he has learned with his guests. Anglers of all shapes and sizes are welcome aboard, no matter if you’re a novice or pro. Family trips are very much encouraged, as they are loads of fun for everyone.

You will be fishing aboard a 25’ Nautic Star saltwater fishing boat that’s powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. It has all of the necessary safety and navigation equipment you’ll need for a productive trip, along with a live well for storing bait. There’s plenty of space for up to six people to be able to fish without getting in each other’s way.

If you’re interested in exploring the inshore waters, Captain Cody can take you fishing for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum in the bays. Otherwise, you can go offshore in search of fish that can’t be found so close to shore.

Rods, reels, and tackle are included in the price of any trip, and Captain Cody will be happy to clean and fillet anything you catch after the trip. You will need to bring along a valid Texas saltwater fishing license, and a pair of polarized sunglasses is highly recommended for the best experience.

Went out on a fishing trip with Captain Cody and had an awesome time. The weather was great, the boat was comfortable, and Cody really knows his stuff. We were on the fish quick and stayed busy the whole time. He made everything easy—baiting hooks, giving tips, even helping us reel in the big ones when it got wild. Whether you’re a beginner or you’ve done this before, Cody makes sure everyone’s having fun and catching fish. Super chill, professional, and just a good time all around. Definitely booking with him again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend! 🎣💯

I will book with Captain Phillips again. What an awesome time my family had plus it was my daughter’s 15th birthday and my sister birthday tomorrow. Captain Phillips knows his craft he was always on high ALERT for any danger approaching. This Captain gets heavily involved with your ability to fish by helping with retrieving the fish 🎣 of your pole especially when you in trouble. We had a great time. We had an incredible time with Captain Cody Phillips of Texas Coasts Charters! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. Not only did he put us on the fish, but he also coached us through reeling them in like a pro. We even caught a venomous fish—who would have thought?—but Cody immediately warned us and handled it safely. His knowledge of the water and marine life was impressive; he could identify fish before they were even fully out of the water! We also caught stingrays, and he treated them with such care and respect. This trip exceeded our expectations, and we’re already planning our next adventure with Captain Cody. First saltwater fishing trip.

This was our first saltwater fishing trip we weren’t sure what to expect. We have always fished Lake Erie and Michigan so this was a change of pace for us. Captain Cody was fantastic he early well prepared the boat was clean and comfortable. We fished a few places and caught plenty of fishhe was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful he is definitely a great Captain and very nice. We will be using him again
